Welcome to Keep Your Chin Up, Inc! Our organization is an incorporated nonprofit in the state of Indiana designed to assist children who experience any form of bullying and to give them a place to go to talk about their problems, seek mentoring, and build self esteem. It is very important that victims of bullying know there is someone out there who cares and understand how to access their support network. Parents and teachers alike need to be trained to recognize signs of bullying and take whatever measures are necessary to end the tormenting. Every child is deserving of a worry free school day. Our mission is very simple. We will help to control the effects of bullying through mentoring and education.
Here is how we plan to do it!
Give those who are bullied a mentor and a place to seek assistance at no cost to them. Give those who bully the tools and the opportunity to change and help them focus their energy towards a productive activity. Make those who bully aware of the consequences of their actions. Inform and educate students, parents, and teachers on state law and possible legal ramifications of bullying. Call to the attention of school administrators any problems in their schools and give them the tools to correct the problem. Give parents the tools they need to seek help for their child and teach them to identify the signs of bullying. |
